Welcome to our wedding website, we are thrilled to share our journey with you. With our families dispersed across the country and even spanning different parts of the world, we’d like to share how we got here - up to this point.

It started at the Rail & Rye in Navasota. With Jeanmarie living in College Station and Sergio in Houston, our first date was at a neutral location in Navasota, the Rail and Rye restaurant. We spent the evening discussing the things we love to do, the places we have traveled, adventures, our kids, and our work. We both admire intelligence, sincerity, transparency, and communication, and they are huge attractions for us. The evening ended with a great hug, some more laughter, and a ‘yes’ to a second date. The chemistry was obvious to us. So, that evening sitting and chatting on a street bench under a street lamp, we started our journey.

Our Relationship Journey: From our first date, we spent weekends at baseball fields where Sergio umpires, going to live music and concerts in Houston, having Sergio visit and roam around College Station where Jeanmarie lives. Sergio is a Texas Longhorn fan and was a fish out of water having to live and play around Texas A & M Aggies. Our first international trip was to Monterrey Mexico, and we followed that up with an incredible trip to Istanbul, Turkey for an 8-day adventure. If you want to know if your compatible with someone, go on a multi-day trip or drive. We both have an interest and an innate love of traveling. We both desire to have experiences, adventures and encounters from our travels rather than possessions – and we love that about each other. From these early days unto today, we have built new adventures, reconciled our dreams, and supported each other successes. We comfort each other during challenges, and know that the other person always has our support.

The Proposal: In February 2024, Jeanmarie was speaking at a conference in Barcelona, Spain, and Sergio was ecstatic to return to Europe. We can’t say the proposal was a surprise because Sergio already took Jeanmarie to pick out her ring but what day, time, and place for the proposal was Sergio’s decision. The proposal happened right before dinner at a restaurant along the famous Las Ramblas walkway in Barcelona on the evening before Valentine’s Day. Sergio got down on one knee and asked Jeanmarie to spend forever with him. With joy and without hesitation, she said yes, and our hearts have been overflowing ever since.

Why We're Getting Married: We are getting married because of our deep connection, our shared values, dreams, and aspirations for our future. Together we are stronger, happier, and we stand together united to live our chapters as husband and wife. Ultimately, we are declaring our love and dedication to each other, and we mark the beginning of our journey through this celebration.

Our Hopes and Dreams: As we embark on this journey together, we hope to continue growing, learning, having adventures, and laughing together. We plan on building a life filled with love, countless travels, endless adventures, and this beautiful road we call ‘our lives’ accompanied by our family and friends.
